TESTIMONY OF GOD'S
DIRECTION TO KMM:
I am the son of KMM missionaries, William and Dawn Owens. I grew up at
Kentucky Mountain Mission and Youth Haven Bible Camp. I worked as part
of Youth Haven's junior staff team during my high school years, but it
was not until my freshman year at Moody Bible Institute that I felt the
Lord calling me back to this ministry. My experience as Facilities
Coordinator of Moody's athletic center and my major in Sports Ministry
are both assets to me as I am developing the ministry of the Lee County
Recreational Center. This is a great place for various evangelistic
opportunities, after school discipleship programs and Bible study
programs. The Rec Center contains two pool tables, a foosball table, an
air hockey table, gym equipment, and an upcoming bowling alley. The
programs at the Rec Center not only promote a healthy body, but a
healthy spiritual walk with God as well. I am convinced that God will
do great things in the future at the Rec Center. |
