Meet the Staff

Hello! My name is Joel Miller. I moved to Kentucky about five years ago, and I quickly discovered how beautiful it is. But I had no idea that only five minutes from my house was a mission that so deeply loved the Lord and people. I worked at Youth Haven Bible Camp for the first time the year I moved here, and it was amazing.

From then on, I’ve known that the Lord is at work through the people at Kentucky Mountain Mission. I loved camp and helping the kids have fun and get to know God better, and it was a great time of spiritual growth for me as well. And the kids weren't the only ones having fun! I also made some great friends and had a blast, as a camper for teen week, and as a worker for the other weeks.

I can honestly say that over the four years I worked at the camp, I learned a lot about God, myself, and the kids of Eastern Kentucky.

However, even then I had no idea the Lord would call me to be working alongside KMM more closely. Now I’m an intern with this ministry in the hills. I believe that God called me to this, and I’m so excited to see how He will use me this year.

I have a burden for the lost children, teenagers, and adults of this area, and someone needs to bring the Gospel to them. That’s what I want to do.
